Lingerie Skateboards comes from the brain of Ferrari Kilian Wyland, music producer, guitarist, creative director, dj, f-22 pilot, and sk8 rat.

the name Lingerie reflects Ferrari’s penchant for subversive metaphor and use of spiritual poetics. A scholar of analytic philosophy, Kilian wrote a thesis in their formative years merging mathematical logic/philosophy of mind/language and post-modernism/existentialism.  “I don’t like music unless it is sexy, and I feel the same way about art. but most art that intends to be quote-en-quote “sexy” ends up being the opposite. subtlety is literally everything… the word LINGERIE has so much under-text (“sous-text” is a commin French concept)—- I use it in reference to the divine feminine aspect, and also in the sense that skating needs an infusion of conceptual art/ intellectualism—- to get down to the bones of things. LINGERIE is the opposite of small talk. LINGERIE is the opposite of surface level trite pedantic b.s. LINGERIE is the opposite of poser ideology… LINGERIE doesn’t have to try—- it seduces you with style, and steez is what skating is all about. There are companies who represent anyone who can do gnarly tricks, and then there are companies who represent skaters who do those tricks with steez—- a certain finesse. If a trick is not steezy it’s not LINGERIE. style is one hundred percent subtle. there is no way to fake steez.

Also Formally trained in photography, video art, and painting, Ferrari ‘s intent is to merge the sacred and the everyday. the decks are therefore meant to hang as art, or to skate if you can afford it.  Every deck is handmade to order, and custom grip can be discussed and added for an additional 101$.  cost for each deck is $1111 us dollars. Art, architecture and design is of critical importance to furthering of society. LINGERIE SKATEBOARDS, one aspect of FerrariLover Music, is a real-time art installation, social commentary, new type of virtual space that fills a void in the skate community by making a transcendent commentary on the nature of reality itself. Skaters literally do the impossible, whether it is a smith grind, a switch back 180, a noesblunt on a ledge, or an actual “impossible” over a sketchy gap… there is a divine aspect that unquestionably goes hand in hand with skating—- if the laws of physics as we know them according to Newton are the only laws at play in reallity, skating as it has evolved in complexity and gnar factor today would not be possible.  LINGERIE is to skating as the myspace was to mindspace, as youtube is to the internet: leading the revolution while preserving what is ancient.
